KOVAR,
established in 1971 is a Virginia Knights of Columbus Charity that provides financial assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities. One of the ways that the Knights of Columbus generate money for this charity is through their Tootsie Roll Drive.

Pregnancy Center Dinner Fundraiser (10 Oct 2019)
Dear Brothers
– You joined the Knights because you wanted to participate in these wonderful charitable events, Like this Pregnancy Center Dinner. We need a good man or two to step up and take lead and coordinate putting a list together of brothers/volunteers for this event.

KCIC Christmas Card Sales – Sep 2019
Good Brothers
– We need for one of you to be the Coordinator for this fundraising event. Basic duties: Table set-up (or oversee that this gets done), track sales, coordinate with regional KCIC designee for ordering of the Christmas Cards and possibly additional items. Recruiting of fellow Knights to help with the project.

Coats for kids – Oct.
This is another one of our charities supporting folks within our community. Volunteers needed to simply pick up the boxes of coats delivery them to the distribution centers, usually the local Sheriff’s Department.

Poinsettia Sales (Need a Lead by Nov)
This is a festive fundraising event for our council during the Christmas Season. It helps us generate the needed funding that we need to help parishioners and families in need within our community.

March for Life – (March or April time frame)
Brothers
, lets get together and provide safety for fellow Christians during this important March for Life in our local community. We need (8) Crossing Guards for this event. Let us join in fraternity and fellowship and spend a little time together doing a good deed.

Fridays After Five (FAF) – Please consider spending an evening with fellow brothers and handing out some refreshments while having free admission to listen to live music. Funds we receive from these events are what we use to provide funding to items within our parishes and within our community, and we have had more requests for assistance recently.
